Swami Vivekanand Ajeevika Mahotsav: Record-Breaking Results
The Swami Vivekanand Ajeevika Mahotsav, Saksham Bharti's signature mega job fair, reached new heights this year. Organized with the primary objective of bridging the gap between employers and job seekers from marginalized communities, the event has become a beacon of hope for many. Held at the prestigious Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences in Dwarka, the fair witnessed an unprecedented turnout. The energy was palpable as hundreds of trained and eager candidates gathered to showcase their skills to potential employers, marking a significant milestone in our livelihood support initiatives.

This year's Mahotsav was characterized by the participation of 27 prominent companies from diverse sectors, including BPO, Retail, Finance & Accounts, Sales & Marketing, and Healthcare. Renowned organizations such as LIC India, PNB Kitchenmate, and Adisports India were among the employers seeking talent. This diversity of sectors ensured that our trainees from various backgrounds—be it IT, Beauty Culture, or Fashion Designing—had multiple opportunities to find roles that matched their training and aspirations. The presence of such esteemed partners underscores the industry's recognition of the quality of training provided at Saksham Bharti.

As part of the preparations for the Mahotsav, our outreach team visited and interacted with several participating companies across different sectors. The purpose of these visits was to understand their specific hiring needs, explore opportunities for long-term collaboration, and ensure a perfect alignment between trainee skills and employer requirements. These interactions provided us with valuable insights into the job roles in demand, such as customer support, sales executives, accounting associates, and logistics staff. This proactive engagement ensures that our training remains directly linked to actual job market opportunities.

The statistics from the event are truly impressive and reflect the hard work of both our staff and trainees. Over 744 interviews were conducted throughout the day, providing candidates with invaluable real-world exposure to recruitment processes. Out of 308 candidates who participated in this specific mega fair, many received on-the-spot offers or were shortlisted for further rounds. When combined with our quarterly placement drives across all centers, a total of 390 candidates secured job placements in the reporting year alone. These numbers are more than just data; they represent 390 individuals who now have a steady income and a path to financial independence.

A key factor in the success of the Job Fair is the rigorous pre-counselling sessions conducted by Saksham Bharti in collaboration with partners like NIIT Foundation and GTT. These sessions were designed to prepare trainees for the demands of the job market, focusing on resume building, interview techniques, and professional etiquette. By the time the candidates reached the fair, they were not just skilled in their respective trades but also confident in their ability to communicate their value to employers. This holistic preparation is what gives our trainees an edge and ensures high selection rates.

In addition to technical skills, we place a strong emphasis on soft skills and emotional intelligence. Our training includes sessions on teamwork, time management, workplace ethics, and grooming standards. We believe that these 'life skills' are just as important as technical proficiency for long-term career success. By equipping our youth with these essential tools, we ensure they are not just job-ready but also career-ready. The positive feedback we receive from employers about the professional conduct of our graduates is a testament to the effectiveness of this holistic approach.

The impact of the Ajeevika Mahotsav extends beyond the immediate job offers. It provides a platform for industry-academia linkage, allowing our team to interact with HR representatives and understand the evolving needs of the job market. This feedback is crucial for us to refine our curriculum and ensure our training remains market-relevant. Moreover, for many candidates, even if they were not selected this time, the experience of facing multiple interviews and receiving feedback is a transformative learning opportunity that builds their resilience and prepares them for future endeavors.

As we look to the future, we aim to scale the Swami Vivekanand Ajeevika Mahotsav to even greater heights. We want to bring in more companies and offer a wider range of job roles to our trainees. The success of this year's event has motivated us to continue our efforts with even more vigor. We believe that by creating these direct links between skill development and employment, we are tackling the root cause of poverty and inequality. The Mahotsav is not just a one-day event; it is the culmination of months of hard work and the beginning of a new chapter for hundreds of young men and women who are now ready to contribute to the nation's economy. Every successful placement is a step toward a more prosperous and inclusive society.
